Road Asset and Maintenance Expert

Job Description

  • Serves as a liaison with executives and department heads to ensure that organizational goals are met.
  • Monitors projects progress, drafting and distributing periodic progress reports for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • In collaboration with the directors and other executives, develops short-term objectives and long-term goals and related policies and procedures.
  • Examination of the current state of road asset management practices and ascertain key bottlenecks for better road maintenance and asset management practices.
  • Provides guidance in developing systems and manuals associated with road maintenance and asset management and improves the budgeting process for road maintenance.
  • Study, evaluate, and supervise roads maintenance works considering the following

Responsibilities

  • The current requirements and future objectives
  • Current network (and roadway assets) conditions
  • Planned network upgrades
  • Planned developments and projects that may impact the roadway network and/or its assets.
  • Proposes and implements strategies to address various road assets and maintenance concerns, including internal roads pavement, bridges, footpaths, curbstone, vehicular underpass, pedestrian underpasses, traffic signals, and traffic control devices (including road marking, traffic, and information signs).
  • Forecasts the long-range road asset needs and modifies plans based on current data and trends. Leads and collaborates with stakeholders to design a year-by-year program meant to address those need

Skills + Experience

  • Master’s degree (Doctorate degree is preferable) in road asset and maintenance, or related fields (USA, Canada, and Australia).
  • Min 15 years of Superlative records and standing in relevant experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Thorough understanding of management and financial practices in all areas and phases of business operations.
