Tatweer Upgraded the Smart Vehicle Impounding Service (SVIS) by adding a VIP feature

Ever since the Abu Dhabi police’s smart impound system was launched in 2019, over 10,402 customers
have benefited immensely from it, the SVIS restricts the movement of the vehicles while it allows the impoundment of the vehicle at the owner’s residence instead of the traditionally designated impound yards. Abu
Dhabi Police has recently deployed and upgraded Tatweer’s Smart Vehicle Impounding Service (SVIS) by
adding a VIP feature.

The VIP feature provides users with a smoother, more accessible experience. Motorists choosing to avail of
this feature will be visited by a team of technicians at the vehicle’s location to install the smart device. The
SVIS will monitor the period of impoundment and send out alerts in case of any violations. Once the
impoundment period is over, the motorist will be notified and given the option to schedule the installation of
the device at the vehicle’s location.
