The project aims to enhance the capacity and traffic safety of the Mahawi Interchange, based on components identified during the pre-conceptual phase. Tatweer will provide design consultancy and construction supervision services, with a focus on transforming the existing roundabouts near Mohammad Bin Zayed City and Mahawi Camp along the E22 highway (Abu Dhabi – Al Ain) into signal-controlled intersections.
The project includes the implementation of two loop ramps, facilitating traffic movements from E22 towards both Mahawi Camp and Mohammad Bin Zayed City.
